Sales & Ordering

How we quote, supply and support demonstration or rental equipment.

Our products are normally made to order, although we do carry limited stock of popular items such as the CGM-7 and DCM-2. Lead times are usually weeks rather than months, and we can usually accommodate rush orders.

Because we recognise that purchasing a crack growth monitor can be a significant capital outlay, we normally offer the use of a demonstration instrument for a no-obligation evaluation period (normally 3 weeks) to customers within the European Union and North America. In certain circumstances this service has been extended to customers outside these regions. Should a customer wish to loan a unit for an extended period, this can be arranged for a fee, part of which can be used towards a subsequent purchase — see the document below for further details. Within the EU we are always happy to visit potential customers to discuss their particular requirements and offer applications advice.

Once a specification is agreed, a formal quotation or pro-forma invoice is issued by Matelect and work commences on receipt of a Purchase Order or Order Number. Goods are normally supplied on a 30-day account basis.

In certain markets we prefer to deal via an Irrevocable Confirmed Letter of Credit, although this is not normally required for low-value orders. Goods can also be supplied on a 30-day sale-or-return basis, extended payment terms, or on daily, weekly or monthly rental — see the document below for full terms and conditions of sale.
